When you are diagnosed with breast cancer there are a lot of emotions running through your mind. You want the very best you can for yourself and your family. You want to get well and have a speedy recovery, but what you do not want is to let it derail your life. With that in mind you should do yourself a favor and get things in order before you decide to get yourself in order. You must do what you can to get organized as you fight this disease. So here is what you are going to do while you fight this disease.
Be Upfront With Your Employer
Your employer is someone who needs to be clear about your situation before moving forward. You need to come in and tell them exactly what they can expect from you. The best thing to do is to get your work schedule augmented. Even if that means that you have to get less hours or you have to work different days the last thing you need is an issue with your work to add extra stress to your already stressful life. Don’t make that mistake and talk to them right from the start. You’ll feel better knowing that it’s under control.
Get Your Extra Care Taken Care Of
If you are going to be going through surgeries, doctors appointments and chemotherapy, then you are going to need help. The stress of finding the people that will help you with that can be a little daunting at times. Your best move is to talk to your friends and family and get a schedule and a support team in place to help you with what you need to do. It’s a good way to not put the burden on one person and at the same time move forward with your recovery. This is the way you have to be if you are interested in getting your life back together.
