All of us know someone that has been affected by breast cancer. With celebrities coming forward to discuss their dealings with breast cancer, some of the mystique and trepidation with breast cancer has gone away and more women are getting frequent checkups and performing self examinations.

Surgery is still the most effective method for complete control, but many women are choosing alternative medicines like hormonal therapy, holistic medicine and of course the standard chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
The improvements and advances in technology should give women hope that this devastating cancer can now be treated more effectively. And that’s good news for all of us!
