I understand your concerns about the pain under your arms. There are any number of things which might cause this pain, including having used your arms strenuously or perhaps an infection in your lymph nodes. It is unusual for breast cancer to be in both breasts and causing pain under both your arms. It is good that you have been to a doctor and are pursuing your questions with him or her.

There are other diagnostic tests, such as an ultrasound and a breast MRI that could determine if there is anything there to be concerned about. It does delay things when having to go through your PCP, but continue to be persistent. I am not clear if the doctor you went to was your PCP or an OB/GYN. Perhaps seeing an OB/GYN should be your next step in this process.

If you cannot get a satisfactory response, you might want to consider changing doctors and/or obtaining a second opinion.

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please keep in mind that we are not health care providers. It is also very difficult to render an opinion without knowing all the facts of any one particular case.

I would be glad to speak with you directly to help you in obtaining answers to questions and concerns. Please contact me via email or our toll free number below.
