FAQ ]Posted by Donna on 10/16/2002 from 65.29.177.159:Hi everyone! I've been having pain/tenderness in both armpits for the past few months. I have a history of cervical cancer with a positive lymph node too. I went to see my doc last week (who palpated nothing...neither do I-it just feels real tender) and had a mammagram on Monday. They noted lots of calcifications in my left breast and a few in my right. They did some close up films in addition to the regular ones and told me to come back in 6 months. I tried to get a hold of my doctor yesterday for some questions...as this mammagram does not explain the tenderness and pain in both armpits. Well, trying to talk to your doctor is like a real pain in the butt. They never let me through and all I got to leave was a message and they returned my call during the 15 minutes it took to pick my daughter up from school. I tried calling the doc back today and she's not it. I'm getting real frustrated and not sure what to do. I talked to my oncologist and he says I need to go through my pcp. Has anyone had real tender axillary when diagnosed with breast cancer?
