Dear Betsy:
As my tenure in Congress comes to a close,
I want to express to you my sincere appreciation for your role in making
the Breast Cancer Research Stamp a success.
I must admit there were times during our
two-year fight for the stamp that I did not think the first semi postal
of its kind would become a reality. But you and Dr. Ernie Bodai put those
doubts to rest for good with your unflagging personal commitment and effort.
Your enthusiasm for reaching a goal is
infectious and your dedication to eradicating breast cancer is a gift to
every woman impacted by this horrible disease. Your own heroism in winning
the fight against breast cancer is a symbol of strength to women everywhere.
The professionalism, dedication, and skill
you have displayed during this fight have made it an honor and a pleasure
for me to work with you.
I wish you all the best in your future
endeavors and look forward to working with you sometime down the road on
other issues integral to our society.
Sincerely,
VIC FAZIO
Member of Congress
