We are delighted to report to you that S. 2386, the Breast Cancer Stamp Reauthorization Act, passed out of the Committee on Governmental Affairs without any amendments.
Our combined efforts were hugely successful! We would like to thank you for all your help, as this accomplishment would not have been possible without you.
We still have more work to do. Now, more that ever, we need a huge grass roots effort to push S. 2386 in the Senate and H.R. 4069 in the House of Representatives to the floor for a vote. We need your help in getting additional cosponsors, as well as making sure that these are "clean" bills without any amendments that may cause controversy and delays.
Please contact your legislators, if they are not already listed below, and urge them to cosponsor
S. 2386 in the Senate and H.R. 4069 in the House of Representatives, bills that reauthorize the Breast Cancer Research Stamp.
It is urgent that we call and/or fax legislators immediately who are not listed below as cosponsors! Use the following website directories to find your local
legislator's telephone numbers:

Remember that time is running out on the Breast Cancer Research Stamp. If our efforts do not succeed, the stamp will cease to exist on July 28th, 2000 and so will the critically needed funds for breast cancer research.
Please forward this to as many people as possible. This needs to be a nationwide effort. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Shelly Blechman
