I understand your concerns about this painful lump. The chances are that it is nothing more than a fibroadenoma or cyst, as about 80% of all lumps biopsied are benign. But it is always best to have it checked out.

I would highly recommend that you meet with your OB/GYN for a clinical breast exam and they will probably have you take a mammogram and ultrasound.

Please refer to the link below to read about breast changes. But do not delay any longer in getting this checked out. You will rest easier in your mind if you know for sure.
