Dear Leju,
I am sorry to hear that your mom is having such discomfort and side effects from the chemotherapy regime. I would call your physician and let them know immediately of her symptoms and what she is experiencing.

There are many good ways to combat mouth sores. There are oral rinses that are helpful. The rash is also one of the side effects some people may experience taking Taxotere. Be sure to ask the doctor for medication for the rash.

We do not offer medical opinions or advice. As far as the cardiac dysfunction goes, be sure to ask the doctor that question.

However, we can send a package of information that would include specifics on how to deal with the effects of chemotherapy treatment. You can complete the request at the link listed below "personal profile form."

You can see a naturopathic physician for alternative therapy, an herbalist, or an acupuncturist for alternative therapies. There are many nutritional supplements and therapies available. Be sure to seek the advice of a qualified practitioner.

You can call the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. The website is :http://nccam.nih.gov/health NCCAM Clearinghouse

May you be well,
