I agree with Gale. Stay positive! My cancer had spread to my lymph nodes too. I had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation and have been cancer-free for over 2 years and my oncologist remains positive that I should be OK for many years to come. With the right treatment - which I believe involves active involvement from the patient (know what your treatment is and how it will affect you) , positive thinking and a great support group never give up.
My prayers are with your mom and you during this time.
