You do not say whether you had previously been on Tamoxifen or not. If you were and now have a recurrence, then it is normal for physicians to prescribe other types of hormaonal treament such as Aredia or Zoladex. I have known women who have been treated succesfully on these types of drugs. Did your doctor indicate that they might also do radiation therapy for this area?
I know this is disheartening for you, but there are a number of treatments out there that can help. I would be glad to send you some information if you would like. If you can give me some additional detail, it would be helpful. Could you please fill out our Personal Profile Form (link found this page) and in the comments section, direct it to my attention. Your information will remain confidential.
Although I am not a healthcare professional, I am a knowledgeable lay person with many medical contacts that can offer professional opinions. I look forward to hearing from you soon and will keep you in my thoughts. You may also send me an email or call 626-332-2255. I would be delighted to speak with you directly.
