We ran you case by one of our medical advisors who is a well respected surgeon who treats a lot of breast cancer patients. Here is his feedback:

"Radiation therapy causes the breast to become red and swollen in many cases. The redness goes away in weeks to months, but the breast feels firmer and harder than usual, and this can last a year or two."
