As of June 16, 2000, 214 million Breast Cancer Research Stamps have been sold, raising $15.1 million for biomedical breast cancer research at the National Intitutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense (DoD) breast cancer research programs. (source: United States Postal Service) We (WIN) estimate at least 642 million times awareness has been raised about breast cancer and the need to fund the fight to find a cure. The awareness raised as a result of this historic stamp designed to saves lives has been priceless.
