Women's Information Network Against Breast Cancer (WIN ABC) has made it headquarters in Covina for six years and has just relocated to a larger facility in order to better serve the public. Women's Information Network Against Breast Cancer is a national non-profit organization that provides rapid access to state-of-the-art information by disseminating educational materials to breast cancer patients, their families and friends at no charge. Over 100,000 individuals and their families have been served to date by WIN ABC. With the advent of the Internet, WIN ABC now reaches the globe serving breast cancer patients throughout Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and beyond. WIN ABC also has a satellite office in San Diego.
The WIN organization was founded in 1994 by breast cancer survivor Elizabeth "Betsy" Mullen. Betsy was instrumental in the development, creation and continuation of the nation's first fundraising ("semi-postal") Breast Cancer Research Stamp. The historic stamp has already raised over $15 million toward breast cancer research over the last two years.
Sponsors of the event include Albertson's, Joslyn's, Ralph's, Smart & Final, Steven's Party Rentals and Subway.
