In Celebration of “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month” Arrowhead Credit Union and R&B Auto Center Join Forces To Fight Breast Cancer

FONTANA, Calif. (September 12, 2002)—R&B Auto Center and Arrowhead Credit Union will co-host a Fall Savings Sale from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13 in Fontana. In honor of “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” for each auto loan generated through Arrowhead Credit Union during the sale, $100 will be donated to the non-profit organization Women’s Information Network Against Breast Cancer (WIN ABC).

“Last year, with the help of the public, we raised about $7,000 for WIN ABC which they have since used in support of educational programs and outreach right here in the Inland Empire,” said Bob Delozier, co-owner of R&B Auto Center. “All of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, and we wanted to help bring attention to the importance of early detection and let our community know that WIN ABC is a wonderful resource.”

In addition to the sale at R&B Auto Center, at 16020 Foothill Blvd., in Fontana, free information about breast cancer, mammograms and early detection will be distributed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12. October 18 is “National Mammography Day” and resources about where to get low- or no-cost mammograms will also be available. The newly-designed logo pins will also be for sale for $5 each, with 100% of the profits going directly to WIN ABC.

For the two days of the sale, ACU members who purchase an automobile are guaranteed a free, 10-day trial exchange and a 24-month or 24,000 mile warranty. Members of ACU will receive low car financing rates and representatives from ACU will be on site for the sale. Non-credit union members who live, work or worship in San Bernardino or Riverside County are eligible to join the credit union. All shoppers will enjoy deep discounts on any car purchase.
