FAQ ]Posted by Jean CArr on 2/17/2004 from 205.188.208.136:Hello,
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer (IDC)and I am set to have my surgery on 2/20/04.By the way I am 54 yrs old. My Dr. said she is opting for lumpectomy and radiation for now, but one never knows what the results will be after the sentinal node, Tmarkings, etc findings. I though that I was handling this very well, but now that it is getting closer to the date I find I keep crying a lot and can hardly sleep at nights.I am breaking down.
I have read all the questions on the message boards and I cry and I feel bad because the care and love these same women extends is so wonderful. I greatly admire you and the way you are helping each other. You are all true champions. I wish you all God's riches blessings and continued recovery and healing and hope that I will
find the courage to be like you all.
Can anyone tell me what to expect?
Thank you.
