Most of the time, there are no "symptoms" of breast cancer. You may not even feel a lump and even if you do, most lumps are benign, so that is not necessarily an indication.
I appreciate you doing research for your relative, but the best recommendation I have is for her to see her doctor for a clinical examination. Then the doctor may recommend additional screening tests if necessary.
