I found a lump in my breast on May 12, 2003. I filed for social security disability and was denied because they felt I would not be disabled for 12 months or more. I have calculated the time from my first surgery to when I believe my treatments and reconstruction will be done and I find I will be disabled longer than the 12 months total. I was hoping for some insight on how to best go about the appeal process. I have requested the paperwork for the appeal and I have a copy of the file from social security. Does anyone have any advice on wher to go from here?
