Hi Anne,
Listen to your doctors and not to people who are not clinically trained. You should also listen to your gut instincts and if you felt assured, don't let people shake your belief. But if YOU have doubts, then you should check things out further.
You don't ever want to have unnecessary biopsies. This is can cause you undo stress, create scar tissue where there does not need to be any (with an excisional biopsy) and sometimes this can make it difficult to detect suspicious areas in the future due to the scars caused from the biopsy.
Yes its true some doctors can be wrong, but most are not. And if you are seeing specialists in this area, feel confident that they KNOW what they are talking about!
