Hi,
I am a 42 yr old woman who often gets benign cysts due to fibrocystic disease. Recently I went to the doctor because my left breast developed a really big hard area. I had a mammogram and an ultrasound. I was told that some cysts were fluid while others weren't. I have an appointment with a surgeon in August. There was a mention of thickening of breast tissue. I don't know what to make of that. All I know is that the area feels rock hard and bumpy and not smooth like the other lumps I have. I worry that it could be cancer. Has anyone had a similar experience???
