FAQ ]Posted by Shelly Blechman on 7/3/2003 from 216.117.218.35:In reply to: Re: May need biopsy with implants..HELP! posted by anne on 7/2/2003 from 12.162.144.104:
Hi Anne,
Even though we have corresponded via email, I am posting my reply to you here in case others have the same questions:
You are very welcome. I don’t know if you have searched the internet but here is a good site for this information:
http://imaginis.com/breasthealth/breastimplant1.asp#biopsy
If you do a search for biopsies with implants, I am sure you will turn up other sites as well. You did not say where you are located, but make sure you are going to a reputable facility with reputable doctors.
You can also call Mentor (mfg of implants). They have a hotline 800-Mentor 8 (636-8678) and RNs ready to talk about any questions you may have.
You can also contact the American College of Radiology 703/648-8900 or the American College of Surgeons 312/202-5000 to find qualified specialists in your area.
I hope this helps. Please stay in touch and let me know how things go.
Sincerely,
Shelly Blechman
Program Director
