Posted by Dee on 4/18/2003 from 12.40.126.210:

I found an lump in my breast and of course was just as scared as any woman would be to go to the Doctor. However I did and ended up having a Core-Biopsy done. I did not know what to expect but I was so suprised that this procedure was totally pain free. The results of my Biopsy were benign and of course this was wonderful news. The diagnosis was an Oil Cyst. This was due to a trauma to my breast. I had fallen down some stairs and hit my breast on the wall just a few weeks prior to finding the lump. My breast did get black and blue and when I found the lump I thought it might be from this injury. I guess what my point is, is that we all need to be more in tune to our bodies and trust that the Medical Community is out there to help us. This turned out to be nothing but if I had ignored it, it could have turned out to be something. Please don't ever hesitate to get any lump in your breast checked out. The procedures that are out there today are painless and really do not take much time for a great big piece of mind.
