Diana - I experienced very severe hot flashes also. I did some research and found out that some women had had luck with an antidepressent called effexor (sp?effexer). I asked my doc to try it as I was not sleeping well and the flashes were also affecting my productivity at work. The effexor has worked extremely well for me as I suffer no night time flashes and seem to only experience them during the day during extremely stressful situations. Might be
something you want to talk to your doctor about to see if it might work for you. Good luck to you. Mary
