Pat, I was diagnosed with LCIS in Oct. 2002. I chose to have a double mastectomy and had the surgery in Nov. It was rough, but so much less so than for those who have to have chemo and radiation. It was a great relief for me to know that those things weren't in my future. I am going through the reconstruction state at present. My biggest problems with all this have been tiring easily and trying to figure out if I am a breast cancer survivor or not as some of my doctors said I had bc and my surgeon said it wasn't TRUE breast cancer. Otherwise I am well and feel good about my decision. Each decision and each person is different. I wish you the best and would love to hear what you have decide. Susan
