FAQ ]Posted by Shelly Blechman on 1/8/2003 from 216.117.218.7:In reply to: FASLODEX - has anyone else had these side effects??? posted by JudyANJ on 1/1/2003 from 64.12.96.72:
I have not heard of any complications from Faslodex such as your mother is experiencing with her allergies. I know that you are aware that commonly experienced side effects from this medication are gastrointestinal symptoms (including nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea and abdominal pain), headache, back pain, vasodilatation (hot flashes) and pharyngitis.
I have heard that allergy symptoms can increase as the immune system becomes compromised, so perhaps this is what might be taking place with your mother.
I think you have taken the right steps by asking her doctors as well as the pharmaceutical company that manufactures Faslodex. I will do some additional research with other healthcare providers to see if any of their patients have experienced any symptoms as your mother has had. If I find out that is the case, I will contact you.
Please keep in mind that we are not health care providers. Also, it is very difficult to render an opinion without knowing all the facts of any one particular case. One strong recommendation we would like to make is that you continue to pursue your question(s) with your own physicians. You should feel fully empowered to obtain a satisfactory answer and feel free to seek a second or third opinion.
Please contact us directly, toll free, at (866) 2 WIN ABC (294-6222) if you have additional questions. We wish you and your mother well. It sounds like she is quite a remarkable woman!
