mammogram found lump/ ultrasound showed nothing

Any info I would appreciate alot since I'm trying not to go crazy. I had a mammogram screening (I just turned 40) which showed a large lump about the size of a half dollar. A second mammogram showed lump with a white spot thru part of it. I was told this was a density. I was told to get an ultrasound to determine if it was a cyst. Ultrasound showed absolutely nothing. Two technicians tried and couldn't find it.They tried for over a half hour. I asked if I should be worried and was told "No not at all" but the woman looked at the floor and did not make eye contact. Call it women's intuition but I think she was lying. This happened 2 days ago on Friday the 13th ( go figure) My Dr. is on vacation for 2 weeks I'm going to attempt to get a colleague of his to talk to me about results but for now I'm pretty upset. I've been trying to get info on my own via internet. I am a 40 yr. old mother of 4 ages 17, 7,4, and 2. My 4 yr old is autistic. With 2 in diapers I really need answers asap. Has anyone had this happen to them whereas mammogram showed something but ultrasound didn't. My guess is this isn't a cyst so biopsy would probably be next step. Thanks for letting me vent. Terri
