Posted by Paula King on 8/31/2002 from 68.42.250.180:

Hello. I am a Breast Cancer survivor...age 33(barely stage 1 tumor with an additional aggressive cancer...3 lymph nodes tested positive)

I had a radical left mastectomy in March. I just finished my last of 8 chemo treatment this week and now I am looking forward to my reconstruction. I have read up on radition, and not only do I feel it is more of a harm than a cure, but it effects the elasticity of the skin and there is a good chance that scarring will encasulate around my implant. ( I am not a canditate for a TRAM flap.)

Does anyone have experience with this? I am so young, I would have to be unhappy with the results of my surgery, even if it meant seeking homeopathic remedies for the Cancer.

Also, does anyone have experience with Lupron? I have always been the healthies person I know, never smoked and I have no history of Cancer in my family. The lupron is the only thing I have been exposed to, and I have this gutt feeling that it is somehow a catalyst.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you, and be well.
