Isabella,
The cost of the Lympha press was right around $6000.00. To me it is like so many other medical items. Way over priced. But when you need it what do you do but pay the price. Thats the reason I am so thankful we had insurance.
The machine came from Martin Medical, 1075 Bellevue Way N.E. , Bellevue, Washington 98004 1-800-468-0789
How often you need to use it? This depends on how fast the arm retains fluid. To begin with my wife was using it every other day for about 3 hours. Then it became necessary to use it every day and sometimes twice a day.
It is simple to use. I could tell you all you need to know over email. It is a matter of slipping the arm into the sleeve, Turing it on and adjusting the presser. I do have some literature that came with it. This explains a lot about the press.
As far as other treatment options. I am no doctor. But my wife did use an elastic sleeve during the day to slow the retaining of the fuid. My wife was a school teacher. This made it difficult to use during the day. She most generally used it in the evening. Usually 3 to 4 hours per sitting. You can't do much while the sleeve is on your arm. She most generally read a book or watched TV.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them. I have included my email address. Thank you for replying. I hope I can find someone that can use it.
