I wanted to give an opportunity for other individuals who had this problem to respond to you. As know one had at this point, I wanted to let you know that this can be a side effect from taking decadron. Your mother should not have the fluctuations in her insulin levels once she discontinues the steroid medication. I am delighted to hear that your mother has done well through her treatment and am sure she will continue to do so through her recovery.

We always recommend that your healthcare team is your best source for answering medical concerns specific to your treatment. There is also the possibility of receiving second opinions if you have doubts or wish to get a consensus.

Our organization is available to help you obtain information and address various concerns you may have. We would be glad to send information to you and your mother help you understand and deal with the myriad of problems and issues that may arise.
Please feel free to email me or call us toll free at (866) 2 WIN ABC (866-294-6222) and we would be delighted to help you and your mother in anyway we can.
