FAQ ]Posted by Sheila on 2/27/2002 from 152.163.197.54:In reply to: Re: stereotactic breast byopsy posted by Carmen on 2/22/2002 from 63.212.144.81:
Thanks to the both of you (Pat and Carmen) for your questions/comments about stereotactic biopsy. I. too, have to have one in a few days, and am scared to death. I still have a question, though. Carmen, you said that they gave you no sedation, but didn't they perform the test under a local anesthetic? It seems crazy to me that this would be performed with any numbing of the local area. I have another friend that wen't through it who said that although she had a local, she still was in pain from the proceedure. Any thoughts, anyone? By the way, best wishes, Pat...you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
