FAQ ]Posted by gayle on 2/10/2002 from 66.156.90.103:I recently had my first mammogram and received a form letter saying that I needed to come back for additional evaluation. When I called my doctor for additonal information, I was told that a 1 cm nodule was found and just needed to be checked out by ultrasound. I had breast reduction surgery several years ago and since then have had both pain (minor) and numbness in my right breast (where the nodule is located). My breasts are still somewhat large and I cannot locate the nodule myself. Could this nodule be related to the surgery, perhaps scar tissue? My ultrasound is not until another week and a half. I have tried to be positive but have found myself uncharistically depressed. I am really worried. Thanks for any feedback.
