FAQ ]Posted by Michelle on 11/16/2001 from 205.181.240.133:I found a very tiny lump way inside my breast. I was doing a breast exam on myself and felt it deep down. It's smaller than a small pea (very small). Kind of rubbery feeling.
I'm also 17 weeks pregnant.
About 6 months ago, I had a larger lump and had it removed and it was benign. Doctor said I was just to be more cautious about lumps.
My question is....when I go to the doctor to have him look at it, isn't it inevidable that I'm going to have to have another surgery and get it removed? Or, are there such things as lumps where they feel it and say, oh, this is fine, it's nothing to be worried about. I know they can tell if it's a cyst by draining it. But, this is so small, there's nothing you can do. Is it possible the dr. may say this type of lump is okay? Or are all suspicious? Also, he said I'm too young to have a mammogram...it won't work. Any advice would be appreciated.
