Debby, I haven't had my first chemo yet but probably will within the next month. The doctor didn't give me a choice...he simply said my veins were not strong enough to withstand the chemo treatments so I will be undergoing an outpatient procedure to have a port put into my upper chest. Perhaps if you discuss it with your doctor you might feel more comfortable.

What kind of cancer are you being treated for? Mine was breast cancer and even though they didn't find anymore bad cells my cancer was positive for the fast-spreading and the likelihood of it spreading to some other part of my body was 1 in 4. I really am dreading it!! But, you know, so far nothing about this has been pleasant!

Please email me anytime and we can compare notes. Take care and best of luck!
