I have recently learned that I have breast cancer. I had a mastectomy on 9/4/01. My first visit with the oncologist will be on 9/26/01. I received a package from the winabc website that had a lot of very good information. I was able to read and understand my pathology report. I have invasive lobular carcinoma, 9 out of 11 lymph nodes were infected. My surgeon just got back my hormone receptor tests and told me they look very good and faxed a copy to me and the oncologist. I don't want to wait until the 26th to understand what it says.
ER by IHC 60% Favorable
PR by IHC 70% Favorable
HER2 Hercep Test 0/Negative
p53 Negative Favorable
Ki 67 40% Unfavorable
DNA Index/Ploidy 1.86 Aneuploid
S-Phase Cannot be determined
If anyone has a clue where I can find explanations for all these terms I would appreciate it.
