I love the knit Lovie hats from the cancer society. Herbal and green tea is nice. An angel pin and angel medalion for my coin purses are constant reminders of friend's love. It is important to minimize exposier to bacteria and viruses when on chemo since your immune system is compromised. My dr recommended Biotene mouthwash to cut bacteria. Hand sanitizer should be used after contact with phones, door knobs, serving spoons at buffets, ect. I also often used a face mask when in public. Did not want to be exposed to anything which could incubate until I was most vunerable. I might be considered a fanatic, but I did not get sick during my "flu season" chemo, so no treatments had to be delayed. These are my practical suggestions.
