The only way to know for sure whether a lump is benign or cancerous is to have a biopsy. If you feel uncomfortable waiting, go for a second opinion.

If it were me (I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 12/99 at 27 years old), I would not wait another 6 months. With your strong family history of Breast Cancer, I think you should have a biopsy. That's just my opinion. My surgeon gave me the option to wait and watch for three months, I opted for immediate biopsy. It turned out to be malignant. The earlier you find Breast Cacner, the more treatable it is.

I don't want to scare you, there is a very good chance that your lumps are benign. Remember 80%+ of all breast lumps are benign.
