FAQ Posted by Shannon on 2/6/2001 from 196.25.233.245:Hi, I have a very dear friend who has had a mastectomy. She is having reconstructive surgery end of feb.She saw her gynie about the side effects from the tamoxifen, painful abdomen, he wants to do a full hystorectomy at the same time as the reconstructive surgery!!!!!!!! She says this includes her overies!!!!!!! He told her she had cysts on one overy.
Surely this can't be true, does the use of Tamoxifen result in hystarectomies??? I told her that this was a very serious step and that she would not have any of her own hormons and she said the Gynie had told her she could have HRT!!!!!!
Please send me the appropriate information
Thankyou
