Oh my God - this was great. I have been "surfing" the web for info on Tamoxifen since my oncologist said the decision had to be mine!! Although, he did tell me that if it were solely up to him he would have me discontinue it. Anyway - thank you, thank you, thank you for all your background work on Tamoxifen. I had read the NIH info on more than 5 years not showing any different statistics. Of course, one realizes that every day is different and these studies can become obsolete in a matter of months. At any rate, you have helped me tremendously with my decision making process. I had planned to go back to my oncologist with information in hand, i.e. drugs to take in lieu of Tamoxifen and this will help even more. I also have to talk to my GYN because of the side effect (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) from the Tamoxifen and what, if any, treatment is necessary after stopping Tamoxifen if I choose to do so or has the damage already been done. So again thank you and any more information that anyone has or if they know anyone who has gone off Tamoxifen and how they feel about it, I would appreciate it immensely. Thank you, Lynette
