Dear Sunnie,

Here is the additional feedback from the original surgeon with whom we consulted on your behalf last week.

Options include:

1) ultrasound/MG (mammogram)/ 6 months after the June MG (i.e. around December), and physical exam in the meantime. If they have increased at all, they should be biopsied.

2) biopsy now, either ultrasound-guided core biopsy or Stereotactic core biopsy, or excision biopsy. Sometimes this gives more peace of mind...especially knowing that she is at increased risk for a breast cancer, given the diagnosis of atypical hyperplasia.

Please let us know if we can be of additional assistance to you Sunnie, and please keep us up to date on how you are doing and on your follow-up care plans.

Best regards,
Betsy
