FAQ ]Posted by Susan on 8/3/2000 from 166.62.68.14:In reply to: questions about excisional biopsy posted by Judy on 7/30/2000 from 207.115.63.12:
Dear Judie,
I have had 4 excisional biopsies of different sizes. I am about to have my 5th. The surgery isn't as bad as it sounds. Even with my first one I had very little discomfort(the first lump was 4cmx6cm)and the scar is barely noticable. I had alot of breast tissue removed on that surgery(Partial mastectomy) but it seems that after the 4 years since the surgery, both breasts are almost equal in size. I too have small breasts and was worried about their appearance, but having the lump gone was more important in the end than any scars.
Good luck with your surgery and feel free to email me.
