Dear Patty:

I am glad that you contacted our website and hope that we can provide you with some guidance to your question(s). We would love to work with you one-on-one to provide you with the information and support you need. You are welcome to contact WIN Against Breast Caner directly by calling our office at (626) 332-2255 and/or by completing and e-mailing the Personal Profile Form at the top of this page to mail@winabc.org. There are many factors that should be weighed when making treatment decisions, includig your age, menopausal status, type and stage of breast cancer, your complete medical history, etc. All of your information will remain confidential.

We have developed an extensive Brest Cancer Resource Guide that includes information on conventional and complemetary aproaches to treatment as well a many other wonderful books and videos, all of which we will be happy to send to you free of charge.

I was personaly faced with the same questions you have nearly 8 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33. Chemotherapy was clearly indicated in my case, and whikle I feared the short-term prospect of undergoing chemo, I knew that the short-term sacrifice would be worth the long-term gain of a better prognosis and possible cure. I underwent 6-months of CMF chemo, and chose to use several complementary herbs, etc. to help minimize side effects and boost my immune system. I chose a lesser course of chemo (I had the option of CAF) because I had a better chance of noit losing my hair -- A decision I regret, because not losing my life is more importat than any other thing.

Good luck, take care and please contact us so we can help.
