If you would like a second opinion on your pathology because you are feeling unsure, that can be obtained. Although I am not a physician, I have not read that it is difficult to distinguish the two types of cancer. Lubluar occurs in the lobules and ductal in the ducts. Occasionally, you can have both types. Tamoxifen holds similar risks, 1% uterine lining CA as well as a potetnial for blood clots (same as in HRT). I would recommend that you contact AstraZenenca (mfg. of Tamoxifen) at 800-345-4334 for more information on the product and risks. Have you discussed these as well as menopausal issues with your provider? I would be glad to send you information if you would like. You may email me or call 626-332-2255. I am glad to hear that both your mother and aunt are doing well.
