I am 42 years old and have always had fibrosystic breast disease. I have a long slightly thin lump on the right side on the middle outer edge of the breast. I went to the dr. in August and she said it is just a gland. I have mammograms every year the last one being last April. It may be me worrying too much but it seems like the lump is slightly bigger. Does weight gain play a role in this? The lump is not round but it is firm and elongated. Maybe l l/2 inches long and only a l/4 inch wide. Im scheduled to go to the dr this week buy I do worry alot.
