You want to get well and have a speedy recovery, but what you do not want is to let it derail your life. With that in mind you should do yourself a favor and get things in order before you decide to get yourself in order. You must do what you can to get organized as you fight this disease. Be Upfront With Your Employer

Your employer is someone who needs to be clear about your situation before moving forward. You need to come in and tell them exactly what they can expect from you. The best thing to do is to get your work schedule augmented. Even if that means that you have to get less hours or you have to work different days the last thing you need is an issue with your work to add extra stress to your already stressful life. Don’t make that mistake and talk to them right from the start. You’ll feel better knowing that it’s under control.

Get Your Extra Care Taken Care Of

If you are going to be going through surgeries, doctors appointments and chemotherapy, then you are going to need help. The stress of finding the people that will help you with that can be a little daunting at times. Your best move is to talk to your friends and family and get a schedule and a support team in place to help you with what you need to do. It’s a good way to not put the burden on one person and at the same time move forward with your recovery. This is the way you have to be if you are interested in getting your life back together.

The Breast Cancer Statistics

There is no shortage of people who have themselves been affected by breast cancer, or know someone who has been affected. It’s part of what makes the issue of breast cancer so serious to so many. But just because it’s serious doesn’t mean that we know all we need to know. The truth is that when you get down to the stats behind breast cancer in the last year you will realize that breast cancer is just as dangerous and scary as ever. Here are some of the numbers behind this incredibly dreaded disease.

It’s been noted that there are an increasing number of women who will develop skin cancer in their lives. As a matter of fact there are 1 in 8 women who will have to deal with the personal effects of breast cancer at some point. This is an alarming statistic and one that speak volumes about the how much good breast cancer prevention.

Over the last year alone there has been over 260,000 cases of breast cancer that have been reported. Of those cases, over 207,000 cases were invasive breast cancer. It’s the kind of statistic that makes people understand that breast cancer is every bit as serious as lung or throat cancer is.

Another stat that might be interesting to note, that while breast cancer is something that can occur in a man, as it stands now, there are less than 1% of all breast cancer cases that occur in men. This means that even though men are in the minority there is no reason for men to take breast cancer lightly. They must do their best to get screened and stay on top of it.

These statistics are just part of the overall issue that breast cancer is for men and women all over the world. While it doesn’t seem like breast cancer is as prevalent as we think, we all need to think again.
